Um, I’m in love. Don’t these pieces have a sort of native american feel to them? I would love to have them with me on my road trip through the american southwest next week. Over a simple tee and cowboy boots?! love.

So last year I teamed up with Fresh Produce to style several sun dresses from their summer line and this year I’m doing it again.
First of all, I love this dress. I wore the Pintuck tank dress all last year- to a variety of places. It really is perfect for casual beach days, trips to the farmers markets and dressed up for warm summer nights. This year, I’m rocked the slate color, which was perfect for our recent trip to a outdoor fair in Hollywood.
The dress doesn’t come belted- but I’ve always thrown on a belt to round out the swingy skirt and add a little more shape. Plus I think adding a simple belt completely changes the way the dress looks. And adding the jean jacket was perfect for the light breeze all day.
The outdoor fair was just okay- actually a little strange, as they shut down the entire street but several vendors didn’t show up. We did run into a lot of celebrities- most impressive, Christopher Nolan… Bob was about to die, since I’m pretty sure the new Batman movies are his absolute favorites. After the fair, Bob and I watched several UCB shows and had quite a laugh. He loves seeing improv and I like watching it- so we try to limit it to only a few at a time. (Although I’m pretty sure he could sit and watch different shows all day long! HA!)

I have two, maybe three, engagement parties this summer- so exciting!!- and I’m wondering what does the bride usually wear to such event. Should I wear white? If I do, should it be short? Or should I just find a super fun party dress and wear that. What do you think? If you are married, what did you wear to your engagement party?
