SOULFISHING: a blogette

After spending way too much time on Pinterest browsing thousands of different images, I found several that I just fell in love with. One of them was this all white outfit- it was a long beige skirt, simple white shirt and bright green belt. There was something so striking about it that I wanted to recreate it with my style added. I love the wood shoes, Bob’s Dads vintage belt and colorful necklace against the white background. Plus- I played around with Beth Jones Hair Tutorials and tried out the Carrie Bradshaw bun.  

When I walked out of the room, Bob gasped- He couldn’t take his eyes off me… I thought he was going to hate this, but he kept commenting how great I looked. **Blushing** I love when he likes my outfits. 

I feel like this is super romantic and really easy to wear. Also- this may just be my new favorite hair style as I did it with two day old hair and it looks great!

Today I went on an audition with Bob for a “make-out couple”… i think we were pretty charming and I’m crossing my fingers that we get it! This is what I wore to the audition- we had to be beachy and causal… I think I pulled that off!

It finally feels like spring- yippee!! 

Today was pretty fantastic- woke up and went to a Hawaii Tourism event that was unlike any tourism pr event I’ve been to before- we went on a hike in Malibu- how cool! and then a picnic lunch- really, awesome!!

I met some great people and it just put a spring in my already springy step… (I did not wear this to said hike)

Here’s to the start of something great- whether that is as simple as a great weekend, or more life changing like the start of living out your passion. Life is good!

I’m not gonna lie- I’ve had a serious case of travel blues the last couple of days. Besides the resort being super nice and way more than I expected- I miss my family and spending so much time with them. It really was the best vacation ever. Being back in L.A. with the drizzling rain and actually bone chilling temps have me longing for sun I left behind in Mexico. To keep my spirits up, I’ve been busy planning our next adventure- Vancouver! 

This dress was actually a thrift store find a couple of weeks ago. Before I took the scissors to it- it went down to the floor! I like the length now a lot better and loved the red and teal colors together. I kind of felt like a cool anthropologie ad…

Bob and I are headed to Mexico early tomorrow morning… SO EXCITED!!!  We haven’t packed, Bob’s taking a nap, I’m headed to the gym for one last power session so I look good in my new two piece, and I already miss my pups who I put in the kennel earlier today. 

Last Sunday, we went downtown and walked around Olvera Street (more photos from our day). A fun little dose of Mexican culture perfect for getting us hyped for our week long stay south of the border.

Lately when I don’t know what to wear or it’s a little chilly in the late afternoons, I throw this blazer on and immediately feel chic and happy. Who knew a little 19 dollar blazer could do so much. 

I wore this last week some time but had yet to post it… but I like the starfish print/stripe combo. Easy white and blue.

On Saturday night, Bob, Zane and I drove down to Orange County for the premiere of Bob’s Horror Film. Before the screening, we celebrated at Chick-Fil-A… which may seem silly if you have Chick-fil-a’s all over town, but we do not. (Yes, the last two weekends, I’ve somehow made it to one, but Bob hasn’t and it was his night.) The movie was SO good! He was hilarious in it (it was a horror/comedy) and it had tons of blood and was just really really fun. I’m so proud of him!

I’m not sure if you notice- but I was totally obsessed with Kate Middleton and the whole Royal Wedding hoopla- I curled my hair a la Kate. I felt princess-y. Also- loving this blazer.
