Advanced Style: Age and Beauty on Nowness.com.
Loving this video on creativity and personal style.
Some ideas from this video that have been flooding my mind lately:
- Don’t fret over getting older
- dress for fun, play
- you shouldn’t apologize for how other people make you feel or how you feel
- be dramatic
- be yourself
This weekend was really productive… I didn’t work as much as I should but I spent time on other, equally important things. I met up with friends for lunches, Bob and I tried a new sushi joint in our neighborhood and it turned out to be really good and we could walk home after sake and beer, I ran 5.25 miles and burned a crap load of calories, took extra long walks with my puppies and just relaxed. this weekend was much needed. how was your weekend?

I had on a really pretty skirt and sweater combo… and then i looked outside and it was overcast and gray. Boo- pretty tomorrow, warm and dry today!
also… I wore this shirt and cardigan together the other night when we saw Frankenstein at the theater… It was the London National Theatre’s production and was screened here. It was directed by Danny Boyle of Slumdog fame and was pretty good. I just switched out the skinny jeans for shorts and topped it with the jacket for today.
outfit details: shorts- AE (they were jeans that I cut), shirt- american apparel, cardigan- gap, jacket- AE, shoes- Urban Outfitters, beanie- Lucky brand

This is what I wore on the first day of spring… also the coldest day in SoCal history. (that might not be true- but it sure did feel like it) I kind of feel like a fun/crazy art teacher in this look… which is kind of what bob said except he said, “you look like you’re going to break out in a traditional spanish dance any moment…”
good thing I like dancing.
outfit details: shirt- new from my mom Free People, skirt- Target, shoes- Steve Madden, crazy hair- all my own.

This is my st. patty’s day outfit… drinking green beer to celebrate Meagan’s day of birth and the start of march madness…. Great Day!
Who are you rooting for?!
outfit details: dress- Free People, trench- AE, shoes- Steve Madden, purse- Betsey Johnson, ring- target

Bob took me on a whale watching tour today… best. day. ever.

When I found out bob and I might need to move, I immediately started looking for inspiration for a new place. I’m really liking these images- the warmth and bold color. I’m thinking for wall color maybe doing a gray or brown (so different for me) and then using all our bright pillows and pictures to add spunk.

Stop making awesome clothes. My closet and wallet would thank you. Also- if those three items happened to make their way in, I’d happily get rid of three other things. K, thanks.
(also- that first photo is just awesome. in reality that skirt would look hideous on me. but the styling is really cool.)
Bob surprised me at work last night with In-N-Out!
