Friday Inspiration… Holla! So- It’s not exactly the same… but pretty close, right?!
A few changes I made:
- I only have teal gloves (not white like is pictured)
- My trench coat is a tad bit shorter than hers, so I wore a pretty dress underneath mine.
- My trench isn’t lined with fur, so I just added the fur lining from my LOFT jacket and I think it worked perfectly.
LOVE this look!!

I bought two lottery tickets this week. It’s not the first time and it probably won’t be the last time. But this week? This week I bought two.
When I got back in the car I had a funny look on my face and Bob asked me what was going on. I showed him the lottery ticket and he just started laughing… “oh, are we playing the lotto now?”
Why not? Why not play the lottery every now and then. Why not wish for the impossible and dream and play pretend? Why not?
I asked him what he would do with the money if we won….
“I’d buy us a house, I’d produce a horror film, I’d send you and your mom back to Australia, we could donate to the animal shelter, I’d buy us an electric car, I’d help our friends,…”
We dreamed and laughed for the entire drive from the valley to santa monica.
Looking back on it, I remember playing this game with another person and the response not being the same. They only thought about themselves, they only were dreaming of how they would benefit from the money and when jokingly asked if they would give any of it away- to friends, to anybody- they said they didn’t know. I mean, we are talking about a FAKE win, a fake amount of money and in this extreme dream fantasy world, their fantasy didn’t include helping out anyone else.
I don’t know why I remembered this.
But I do know one thing now- I want to dream. And, I want to surround myself with people who dream and within those dreams thinks about other people and other things.
And even if we don’t win the lottery, we won.

in all their redish/pink glory… here we are.

Besides how tired I look, I think this Friday Inspiration came out really well. It’s funny because only one piece is actually from BR… and that’s the white shirt that my brother gave me for XMas. I’ve had this image saved on my iPhone for awhile now and really like the layers and, of course, the fun scarf! What do you think? Like it, hate it?
outfit details: skinny cargos- old navy, shoes- nine west, scarf- lucky brand, blazer- loft, cardigan- JCrew outlet, shirt- Banana Republic
*I even tried to pose like the model (which i’m obviously not) and I just look ridiculous!
**Also, hair appointment on Friday! Yay- this weird auburn, brown, crapola will finally look better and maybe I’ll start feeling a little better, too. Life just isn’t the same without those blond highlights! :)

I don’t really buy too many things from H&M, but on April 14 I will be lining up at their door for these two pretty pieces! The dress is a totally knock-out, absolutely sweet and sexy. And, the shorts are absolutely darling. Must have!

Friday Inspiration came from an email from WhoWhatWear.com. I’ve been wanting to play around with color blocking for awhile (like everyone else) and when I saw this sassy pink and red number with the black sash, I knew I could replicate it!
Outfit details: Pink Dress (express from like 2001!), cardigan (Gap), shoes- Steve Madden, Tights- target, necklace0- AE
Not going to lie… I feel a little like Jess from WhatiWore! (And that’s a great thing!)

and there’s about 180 more that never need to be seen, ever. fun times. (see all the ones that made the cut here.)

birthday fun! We went to Far Bar (delicious drinks and tacos) and then The Library in DTLA. We had such a fantastic time and I’m so lucky I had so many friends hang out with me and make me feel so special.
The most amazing thing just happened… I was offered a FREE Mexican Riviera Cruise for a week. For up to three people. All for being awesome and making Vagabond3 the coolest travel site eva!
Then the most awful thing happened…. it’s for this upcoming week. the 6th through the 13th. After reviewing our upcoming week… it’s just not possible. Bob is filming his zombie movie and besides having to take off from work for three days, we would have to find somewhere for the dogs to stay… which would be a lot of money.
The good news: people think our site is worthy of giving away free trips. I’m stoked about this. Honestly- this is what I have been working so hard for… and it’s becoming a reality.
The bad news: I also have to be realistic. Even though the trip is free, the actual cost of being away is easily 1500 bucks. Being realistic sucks.
So, yeah, pretty much the worst. day. ever!

We took the dogs to Hollywood and Highland and the Walk of Fame for my first days photos… You can read the “official” (haha) post on Vagabond3! Fun!
