Out to find my mission, my passion and what makes my soul ache. I love london, my dogs, fashion and bob. Traveling, maps, Mexico, Morraco, Sydney, the ocean, and my family, all inspire me. Currently obsessed with: My recent trip to Australia and 4320SYD. Always obsessed with: London, the killers, my dogs, college football, the beach, fish tacos and diet coke. wanna talk: jade.broadus@gmail.com |

Current Style Muse: archibald maximilion (or at least that’s her username on Weardrobe remix!)
First of all, her style is crazy and fun and unexpected and I love it! Second, she lives in Australia, which after my recent trip there, means she is super cool and i love her more. Third, she calls her mom “mum”, which ever since living in London, I love.
I’m not sure what type of work she is in, as some of her fashion choices are very bold for many workplaces, but that is kind of what I love about her and why I find her so inspiring. Most of her pieces I feel would be too dramatic for “SoCal”- but I think I’m going to start adding a little more drama into my wardrobe… why not?!
Forever 21 launched a new line- French Twist, and I’m kind of digging it. I like all the red, black and white combos and I’m loving the knee highs. I’m not totally sure if I could pull these off or not, but I wouldn’t mind trying!

Yay! Let’s continue playing the wonderful game of “if”…
IF…
I was getting married (which will happen someday…)
I would wear these dresses to the bridal shower and rehearsal dinner. The one with the flowers on it best represents my personal style. It’s playful and fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously… but in white is still classy and bridey. The other one is so simple and chic and that pretty much says it all. I feel like it’s short enough to be sexy, but tailored and simple enough to let you be the center of attention… and isn’t that what every bride really wants?!

Let’s play a game- the wonderful game of “if”…
IF…
I had a lot of money and I had lots of fancy parties to go to this holiday season…
You would find me wearing one of these. They are both from BCBG and as far as fancy dresses goes- they have it down. I think the black one would drive my boyfriend wild- like he would love it. I think the other one would drive my boyfriend wild- like crazy, cause all those colors and the sway of the fabric- but I don’t care! I love them both, the black one looks so french and classy and sexy and oo-la-la-y… and the second one would be perfect for girls night out in the city, (in this game, the city is London) rubbing elbows with members of very crazy indie bands that are on the verge of hitting it big…
so, yeah- only if.
Certainly not my usual style, as I don’t normally wear one watch, let alone two- but totally chic and has kind of a timeless appeal… I feel like I could make this, maybe?!

The Sick Hump: December 4, 2009
So, the last couple of days I’ve been feeling sick, sick, and sicker! Basically just wanting to lay around all day, take hot showers and drink hot chocolate. and, I’ve been doing a lot of that- so when I woke up today feeling somewhat better, I thought- yes, must get out of bed immediately, get dressed and eat! So, this is what happened… I wore a big comfy sweater, skinnies and my grandma’s sunglasses. These pictures are perfect, because they are a little blown out around my face, so you can’t really see sickness! Happy Friday!
outfit details: sweater- forever 21, skinnies- target, shoes- old navy, belt- ?, scarf- roxy, purse- betsey johnson, sunglasses- my grandma! (aren’t they soo big and fabulous!)
Oh no! It’s going to be cold next week… I guess I get to wear my over the knee boots and a peacoat! Maybe my green one…
We did our 10 mile run today for the 1/2 marathon in January. It went fine, great even, during the run. Now, seven hours later- I’m ready to die. I am laying on the floor with ice on my ankles, calfs and knees. Also, my stomach hurts like I’m going to throw up. hm… The 1/2 marathon might be it for me!
London’s Skyline made out of food! yep, thanks to Rob, I can now dream of visiting and eating London!!!

December 1, 2009
It’s beginning to look a lot like christmas…
It’s the first day of December and all I can think about is what gifts I’m going to get for all my friends and family. I find myself wandering around stores or online looking for something to just jump out at me and be the perfect gift. This dress made me feel all present-y… with the bows and ribbons. A perfect sweater dress for shopping and lunch with friends.
The ear rings and ring were gifts from my aunt linda. I felt very polished and ladylike with them on!

3rd Annual Gingerbread House Party
Everyone brought over a house, I had a train set and Bob got a mini village, and we decorated them with lots of icing and candy. I love this tradition we’ve created. Even Romeo had on a Gingerbread costume!

My favorite part is at the top- “are you in england?” and if you say yes- it points you right to Wagamama’s! My favorite place in the whole world!

I had this conversation yesterday....Some days suck. And on those days, you wear your favorite t-shirt to try and feel better. Right?
